KYB recommended OEM replacement shock. Specifically calibrated to help restore original handling and control characteristics. Uses a seamless working cylinder matched with a Teflon coated piston band for a positive seal and longer life. Triple chrome plated piston rod and multi-lip oil seals that reduce wear. Solid seamless mounting eye rings and bolt bushings to eliminate rattles. Fit type: Vehicle Specific.

Excellent aftermarket shock absorbers

Great replacement for the rear shock absorbers on my 2012 Ford Fusion. They are very similar to the originals. It's hard to change them. It definitely took a while but now that they have been replaced the car runs as smooth as ever. Very happy with it.

Better on Amazon than the crap you could get for the same price on Auto Zone

If you buy this through Amazon you are doing yourself a favor. a better quality part for the same crap cost in the car zone. My Mazda 6 loved these new shock absorbers. He just didn't like his engine because Ford is the worst (regardless)

GREAT replacement OEM

These shock absorbers fail. I'm in my third year on 2" springs and my first set is just starting to fail. Not completely blown up, but the streets of Massachusetts are being destroyed by understated cars. OEM suspension replacement to full coilover upgrade.

As close as possible to OEM, however the shock color on the picture is not correct.

First you will get a black shock absorber, not a grey. I was hoping for a gray color as shown in the picture. Quit being fussy, that was on the back of a 2004 Mazda 6s. Replaced 10-year-old standard dampers with these. When driving over hills and bumps, these shock absorbers cushion the rear of the car very well. There is nothing complicated or overlooked about these shocks. Since KYB was the OEM supplier of the original shock absorbers, these are essentially OEM replacement parts. No leaks soโ€ฆ
