KYB 565053 MonoMax Gas Shock: Superior Performance and Durability Review

Do not install these shocks on a Jeep Cherokee unless your truck has significant added weight. With the stock heep, they ride incredibly hard, albeit with a well-made damper.

They ride worse than the old Monroe shocks I removed. KYB used to make a good product, but these and the set of Gas-Adjust shocks I put on full-size vans were no better than the shocks in the basement.

****Update Over time, JYB shock absorbers have never loosened, so the car's comfortable driving feels like you are discharging. You feel every little crack in the road. So a big truck doesn't feel like a car anymore. Heavy duty was too much. Removed and back in stock on 11/08/2015 Monroe shock absorbers.
