Disintegrated after about 10 uses

I bought this product in 2016. I filled it with white pepper, which I hardly ever use, so it sat in my closet most of the time. unused. A few days ago I decided to add some white pepper to a dish and the grinder got stuck for a second and then broke completely making it unusable. Consider another product.

Can't charge. Doesn't grind very well.

Long term review downgraded to 1 star -- This is a ONE TIME USE. Each time the contents are crushed, the threads are tightened. This makes it almost impossible to unscrew the filling mechanism. On a second attempt to unscrew it and refill it, the plastic thread broke and was damaged because of the enormous effort to unscrew it. Although the degree of grinding is adjustable, the construction does not allow to achieve a very good result.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Expensive

What I like best is the constant grinding. . .

I love these grinders. I also have older versions. These new ones are slightly larger overall to accommodate a larger upper that's easier to remove than the previous iteration. I have three different colors of peppers and different salts. The ceramic grinding surface means they last forever, but what I like best is the even cut. The delivery system is so accurate that I can flavor without even looking. Really a first class device.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not easy to maintain

Great item for kitchenware and gadgets

I LOVE this salt (or pepper) grinder. I throw in my delicious organic New Zealand Crude Salt and it grinds beautifully. It is adjustable to please everyone. It's a whole other level of deliciousness. I didn't know salt could taste so amazing. It's been years since I bought salt at the supermarket. It absolutely makes a huge difference in the taste of the food. I bought a second one for the pepper and it does a great job with the pepper.

A good meat grinder if you're not interested in grinding.

Good grinder if you don't want to grind anything. Or you don't like your spicy food. It has a hard time grinding black pepper and the salt is too hard for this thing. You'll be tossing and turning for a few minutes just to salt the steak. And don't even think about using slightly damp sea salt, it doesn't grind anything at all. On the plus side, she looks gorgeous. but since it's in the back of the closet now, that doesn't make much sense, does it?

  • Everything is fine!

beautiful appearance; Works well

We've only had it for about a month but so far it seems to be working very well. The lid snaps in and out, which takes a bit of getting used to for reasons I can't explain. We both want to open it up again and again, even though we know better. Of course, that's just a whim, no problem. I notice that other reviews mention that there is a metal spring in the movement, but you can't see it, so even if the salt corrodes it, I'll probably never know. I would like to mention that the salt I use in…

These are amazing spice grinders. I bought two, one for large salt crystals like Himalayan Pink and one for whole peppers. They are workhorses. I bought both in January 2018 and now in July 2019 both are still valid. They have never clogged and their grind is the same as both salt and pepper. Trust me we go through TONS of peppers and have never had a problem. I'm thinking of buying a few more for other spices like dried garlic. That gets two thumbs up from this culinary family! Update May…

Perfect for Celtic Sea Salt

We only use Celtic Sea Salt which I buy in 5 pound bags. However, the salt is wet and the crystals are irregularly shaped, which defeats most salt grinders, and unfortunately we've shipped a few fancy but useless grinders deep in the closet. We had an old mill that ground salt perfectly, but over time the plastic parts became brittle and eventually the mill broke. My husband MacGyver had it repaired to still work and I was looking for something more representative. That's all. While not fancy…
