They lied on the package about the sulfur test.

It was a complete plagiarism. If you're buying this for something other than a hydrogen sulfide test, you might be fine. But I bought it specifically to test for hydrogen sulfide. Our water regularly smells of sulfur and we wanted to know if it was safe for us and our baby, for whom we make a mix with our Tao water (we used bottled water as we noticed the smell). The packaging states that both the front and back pass the tests for hydrogen sulfide. The back even says it contains 10 tests. But…

Very misleading products for labs and scientific research

Do yourself a favor and buy someone else's water tester. I bought THIS test because this test said it included detection of hydrogen sulfide. Well I receive the product and it lists how all the tests are done and read including the hydrogen sulfide test; the statement for h2s was simply "SMELL OF WATER". Also, it states that h2s is not detected by the kit itself, it is performed by the smell test! The set was purchased because a guest at my house said the water had a slight rotten egg smell…

Testing not claimed

Felt like false advertising as some tests consist of just looking at water and smelling it. I knew my water smelled. So I wanted to do a test to confirm it's sulfide. To put it simply: sniff the water and say the "test" test is ridiculous to them. My water has always had iron, but my water has never smelled before, now it does and I wanted to know why. Iron bacteria or hydrogen sulfide caused the smell. Who knows? You won't find anything with this test because you'll smell the water and learn…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
