I will never make this purchase again.

The disk only lasted less than three months. Both the iMac and the MacBook do not accept the wood wire Type-C - Type-C from the kit. I purchased other cable on Amazon, and I will rent it.

This is a new vision of Seagate made with artists in mind. LaCie markets their wares as superior to all other external hard drives in terms of reliability for graphic designers, which means that it caters primarily to Mac users. They hired an obviously overpriced designer to wrap the Seagate in lovely boxes, and this one in particular had its edges smoothed by a planer so that it would stand out. Pros
  • The topic of my writing is 5Tb. It would be erroneous to assume that he has no rivals. Due to its big capacity and ability to function away from a wall outlet, I use it as a backup disk for redundant data sources when I'm on the go. With a cheap rub/gigabyte and a recording speed of 130 MB/s, it's not enough to compete with other HDDs. I re-recorded roughly 10 terabytes on it in a year, and new noises arose; they are audible even when the device is idle, but it continues to function normally.

  • Due to its frequent head parking, DaVinci Resolve in 4K and FullHD cannot use this camera as a source. The connection in laptops is a shame because of the plastic bottom, the reasonable heat it generates (about 65 degrees) while dumping video files of 50-100 gigabytes, and the burning smell coming right from the USB C connector. There is no 2022 language on LaCie's site, which is both terribly foolish and not very instructive.

Reliable and spacious: Ideal hard drive for computers

I've been using this external hard drive for six months now and it has never let me down. According to my experience, it's an excellent product for storing data. Its spacious capacity makes it easy to store all my files and transfer them between multiple devices. The transfer speed is impressive, especially with USB 3.0 technology. However, its only drawback is its slightly bulkier size. Overall, it's a great investment for anyone looking for a trustworthy external hard drive.

Spinning Disk is not Flash

Don't be fooled by the "Flash Size = 2T" description, it's a hard drive. Also, it's "Thunderbolt Compatible" - it's not a true Thunderbolt drive. I had the drive for exactly six days and it wouldn't mount. "Disk Utility" started. Vain.

Don't turn it off, throw it away!

Three times this drive has been ejected without ejecting and each time the entire contents were lost the drive had to be reformatted and copied again. This has never happened to me before with any other drive. Otherwise the case feels really solid and it's a very attractive drive. I can't say anything about the performance.
