Strong yet flexible

I am very happy with these smaller plastic cards for my flatbed weaving. Strong yet flexible, they are ideal when working on a design that requires maps to be rotated around a vertical axis. The only downside is that plastic doesn't hold the permanent marker ink around the edges for long. I prefer to mark the A/D edge for quick reference to the "home" position. However, I simply retag them after each project is complete.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Not what I expected.

but it's not bad. They're smaller than the cards I got with my table weaving book and they're thinner, but seem strong enough for thin cards like this one. You better travel with a belt loom in a small drawstring pouch. This is a plus for portability. A little thicker than a playing card from a good Bicycle deck and a little stiffer than a fresh card. Both sides are smooth. The edges are slightly blurred. Well visible in the corners. I need to use them to see how they behave. If they work well…

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • so far so good

Better than homemade.

I bought these to replace homemade decks of playing cards. Mine are plate thin and break easily with heavy use, and I was willing to try something different. They're definitely heavier than playing cards, but not by much! They are nice and slippery as they have a plastic laminated surface, nice and smooth. I wish they were numbered but that's fine, I can number them myself. The same goes for the edge color coding so I can easily tell if cards have slipped out of position. Again, this was easy…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
