I've been looking for something like this for years to work with my handsewn paper projects. Quilt or craft stores have never had anything like this, let alone different sizes. Very strong but not bulky as it has an open toe. Deep dimples and convenient to use.

These open top thimbles work great. It took me a while to find them, but they are exactly what I need for my purpose. I use them to hand sew blankets and put them on one of my middle fingers. I like the open end so it doesn't touch my nail. I also want the dimples on the sides, not the end of the thimble so I can push the needle through the fabric with my side finger. This is the natural position of the finger when sewing hands.
