This is too small for a happy life for betta or other fish. 2.5 gallons is the minimum they should keep. Please don't torment the fish by putting them here.

I've been hesitant to get it because it doesn't have a pump but so far my betta is coping with it. I used my own gravel because I read a review that something in the gravel could be dangerous for them.

This is the perfect little betta house for the desk or office. My little friend loves it. Just make sure you make the most of what little space it has by not placing as much decor and keeping things to a minimum. Absolutely gorgeous! The tank itself is plastic and has a steep upward curve as shown in the product images and the curve continues to the center of the base reaching the same peak as the outer rim.
