🐙 Octotunes Musical Octopus by Lamaze Review

This is more of a squeaky toy to play notes. Sounds like a cheap toy horn for kids. It also takes significant effort to squeeze each leg together so it can reproduce sounds. It's hard for me with her adult hands, my baby can't squeeze them. This is a much bigger toy than I expected. I wish I had bought it - too bad as I was a big fan of most Lamaze toys.

This is a great toy if you are as strong as an adult. With this musical toy, the child cannot squeeze the legs together, they are just too heavy to squeeze. My grandson likes when I squeeze my legs to take different notes but he doesn't want to and can't so it's very frustrating for the kid. Even our 5 year old grandson can't squeeze them hard enough to make a sound.

I saw this toy many years ago and thought it was so cute, the tentacles are easy to squeeze and most of all the delicious scent of vanilla. I ordered one, laugh no, for myself/dog toys and am so disappointed that it doesn't smell like vanilla and as an adult I can't easily squeeze the tentacles, I can't imagine a child or child that can do this easily . It's a shame because I wanted to keep it, but I'm sending it back.

We love this item. My 3 month old will be spending time on his tummy just chatting to this guy! Each "hand" has a different timbre and comes with a songbook. My friend advised me to get this present for my 6 month old baby for Christmas. I looked at it but didn't really get the meaning. My daughter received this gift 18 years ago when she was a child and it was the best thing ever! It had a wonderful vanilla scent and she enjoyed playing with it, making music and looking at all the colors. Since then I have been buying this toy for everyone who has a child and everyone loves it. BUT it has changed over the years because I just ordered one for a friend and it doesn't smell like vanilla, the colors on it are different and the worst thing is that it's almost impossible to squeeze

While the reviewer who said it's not easy to squeeze pencils to take notes is right, this is still a great toy and my son loves it.
