No wicks in stores!? Why!? Walmart didn't have them at all! Anyway, these are wicks - you know, for lamps. If you have a lamp that uses a 3/4 inch wick then that's it. A pack of three wicks will last for years if you only use the lamp for emergency lighting. I really have nothing more to say about that. Five stars!

Last October we had a power outage for a few days and the wicks of our oil lamps burned out while trying to light our house. They sold out right after that hurricane, but I was able to get them in a few weeks. They match my oil lamps and work well; I had to light the lamps on a December night when the electricity went out for an hour (even if I want to go to bed my poor old dog is afraid of the dark). I keep a spare pack in my desk drawer in case I need it again.

Thanks to Revain.com I was finally able to find replacement wicks for my old oil lamps which I love to use when the power goes out. instead of candles? I've looked at every hardware store from Knoxville to Chattanooga, Tennessee and couldn't find the right size wick for these lamps?! When we have a power outage it always takes between 1 and 36 hours to come back, so candles are impractical and there are no children in my house, do I need these lights sometimes?
