This is an American made holder.

Well made, durable. I polished the handle with cutting board oil so this fork will last for many years. The wooden handle feels comfortable; If it was plastic I wouldn't buy the plug. And brass rivets add to its appeal. It may seem a bit expensive at first, but you only have to buy it once. It will last a lifetime if you take care of it.

Pros
  • Decent performance

Finally: a great old-fashioned kitchen fork!

My wife has been looking for a durable kitchen fork with a wooden handle for many years. She wanted one that not only looks dated, but will stand the test of years of cooking - just like it used to. And this fork is what you need. It's long enough to be used for all sorts of culinary needs, and overall it looks like a fork a chef would want to have handy in the kitchen.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • For old ones

This is my second grandmother's Lamson fork

There was already a shortened version of the same grandmother's fork. Appreciate the fact that Lamson is an American company. Tired of so many companies outsourcing their production abroad. Treat wooden handle immediately with Crisbee Cream Wood Conditioner. I will continue to hand wash these products. Shipping is acceptable but slow, but this may be due to supply/demand issues. My order has been returned twice. By the way, my esteemed cast iron cookware expert friend recently bought a giant…

I love products from the USA.

This is one of the reasons I bought several of these. The granny fork is ideal for turning pork chops, steaks, chicken chops and other meats that need to be seared or sautéed. It's long enough so I don't burn myself and the three prongs grip the meat so it's easy to turn. When I first bought this fork, I hand washed and dried it. Then I poured some cooking oil over it and let it soak. I repeated this the next day and had no problems with the tree. I don't usually wash it in the dishwasher…

Inexpensive and very functional

I bought this fork model and then gave it away. I bought this item (x2) thinking it would have pips like a Civil War heirloom that my wife treasures. (Not true: Photo is accurate, but buyers should look closely. The outer prongs flare out slightly from the inside out, and the prongs are flat.) First, my biggest hit: The walnut handle has a "fuzzy" finish. Feels out of the box and not comfortable to hold in hand. Don't worry: I have food-grade silicone spray, beeswax polish, and even walnut…

These are kitchen forks, not meat forks!

I like Lamson products but I've bought both these 10" Lamson Oma forks and a 10" Miu Oma forks and it looks looks like the finished wood on Miu is much better than untreated. on Lambon. I don't like the feel of raw wood in my hand and I don't think it will hold up. I also oiled the handle with mineral oil but it didn't make much of a difference. This is a good kitchen fork, the quality is good and almost identical to the Miu forks except for the handle finish. I personally prefer the finished…
