This case is ideal for long handled art brushes. Most of my pieces are cute handmade pieces and I like to keep them in good condition when traveling. This case simplifies this task. The slots are larger which is great for larger brushes and I double up a slot with smaller brushes. The loop grip is great too. Basically I bought it because the price was right. I'm a watercolor painter and the length of this case fits all of my brushes, all of which are marked "short handle" (less than 12 inches). Overall I'm happy with it, except for one thing: the brush slots are too wide for most of my brushes (too wide for all but my 1" flat brush). I like that 1) it's very thin when folded (probably 1 1/2" to 2") and 2) has a wrist strap that can be used in the mount or buckled on.
