Fantastic lens. in camera lenses

I love this lens very much. Since purchasing this lens I have had excellent results in macro photography. Now this is my lens for all macro photography. Keep it up Laova.

The best macro lens!

This lens is very sharp. It doesn't have autofocus or image stabilization. The price is very reasonable for the quality. Also note that this lens is quite heavy as it is made of metal.

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • Hard to remember, but it was

Pin sharp: SLR lenses

There is nothing wrong with the performance of this lens, for me it's just great. The only downside is that it's significantly heavier than the average lens. If you plan to do a lot of macro photography, you need a tripod that is very strong, stable, and of good quality.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Exceptional Macro Lens

I was very impressed with the Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2:1 Ultra Macro Lens. Pictures are clear. It's not an autofocus lens, but at least some pros say autofocus isn't important for macro photography, and to be honest I agree. The lens is of high quality and the glass is fine. I was very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Secret

I love this lens. for camera lenses

I have two 100mm lenses: Canon 2.8 1:1 and this one. The Canon 100mm macro lens is probably my favorite lens for photo hikes and the like because it's both a great macro and portrait lens and the autofocus is amazing. But when I go on a direct macro expedition, when the autofocus is useless, I only use this lens. Image quality is superb and the 2:1 zoom has taken my macro photography to the next level. For the price I can't recommend enough. It's so much fun to shoot with him!

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Are you buying to attract Sony?

I bought this to carry my Sony A7iii after the Laowa team told me it would work and I could use the aperture control and also write the exif data to a file, as opposed to full manual mode. Version for other cameras. When it arrived it didn't work properly and was very disruptive to the footage. The seller was willing to refund my money but I contacted Laowa directly who promised me it would work. They upgraded my lens with a new chip as my copy was an old first run firmware. Now it works like a

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great lens though. suitable for camera lenses

I am writing this lens after a week of use. First, this is not a cheap lens as many claim. He has neither IS nor AF. I have the Canon EF version so I can adjust the aperture from my camera. So at this price what you get isn't very cheap and there's a trade-off. This lens is not for everyone. Before purchasing this lens, I used the reverse macro technique. However, I don't see the quality of photos improved drastically with the lens. This lens is definitely more convenient to use than inverted…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • No mold required

A sharp lens with a critical flaw that renders it useless

I am a professional wedding photographer with many years of experience and published macro photography. I bought this lens and was so happy with it that I now have to return it. Let me tell you why: lubrication. With this lens, the entire front element is moved back and forth in the lens barrel so that at one end of focus the front element is directly opposite the supplied UV filter and at the other end is a few inches behind the barrel. It's a lot of mechanical movement, and Laowa uses gray…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Not quite as good as it says
