So like many people who have purchased this product I have been blown away by the great reviews it has received. 4.5 stars and almost 2000 reviews!? What a great product. However, you read reviews that gave this product a star or two and you probably think they're just angry people who bought a cheap product and are now complaining that it doesn't work. I got this for my use with her laptop for school. She had never used the second screen before, but now she can't live without it. It also fits easily in her North Face Crestone computer bag, along with all her school supplies for working on the go when traveling. A socket is required for electricity, but this is not essential. When she starts working again it will be very useful as she will be working a lot on the road.

Use it as an external monitor for the Macbook Pro 16. Very portable for travel, the screen is pretty clear and bright. Sure, it can't 100% match the quality of a retina display, but close enough that it doesn't bother , if you're picky about screen quality. After trial and error with multiple Type-C cables, if you want to connect an external monitor with a single cable for power and video, get a Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 cable.

I got it while working remotely and this tiny 13 inch monitor is killing me. This monitor feels huge in comparison, it's lightweight and works great as a secondary/extended display for my MacBook. It comes with all kinds of cables so it should be up and running on any device pretty quickly.

Received this monitor today on 02/27/2022. I bought it to use with my work laptop at home or when traveling. As soon as I plugged it in, not only did it work instantly on my laptop via the HDMI to mini-HDMI cable (included), but I also tested my wife's MacBook Pro via USB-C and worked flawlessly. I bought much nicer and longer cables for it as it is not connected to a laptop at the moment and the ones supplied were too short for my needs. My company likes to recycle very old stock. When I started traveling a lot, they finally gave me a desktop and a laptop so I could connect with them remotely. Because of what I do, I need more than one screen. I'm used to having three, but I can handle two. I bought this portable travel monitor knowing full well that it would not work with the laptop I was given, but with the right connections (surprisingly) I was able to plug it in and have this monitor up and running in less than two minutes.

I like the screen size and stand. I'm really disappointed that after about 7 uses of the screen I had to buy a separate HDMI cable. I believe the cables that come with products should work, at least as long as the product works. But I have to spend money to keep using the product. By the way, my colleague warned me that I would have to buy a separate cable, but I wanted to be sure that I wouldn't have to spend extra money. I recommend the product but just buy a separate HDMI cable.

The screen itself is ok but literally after 1 month of use one of the screws holding it in the case fell out. It's not easy to replace, which is why it doesn't fit well now. I don't know what I'll do if the other one disappears.

Follow the setup instructions as they are quite simple. I got the error message "No signal" several times and the monitor turned off quickly. Finally, I plugged it in once and it worked (surprise!). I used it (plugged in and left on) for 3 days. Disconnected it to get home and it hasn't reconnected.
