Small, quiet and efficient

Good little fan. I have it on my desk about six feet from my desk, and on a low level it creates a nice light breeze so I don't have to turn on the air conditioning. It vibrates effectively in a limited range and produces little background noise. The top and bottom are slightly offset from each other to increase the cooling surface. I even leave it on when I'm in Zoom meetings because it doesn't add much ambient noise. It's much quieter than the fan in my computer. It's small so it doesn't cool

Makes a rattling noise after a few days

Bought this for my office when our previous desk fan died. It was impressive for the first few days, then there was a knock that seems impossible to fix. I took it apart (see photos) and couldn't find any obvious loose parts or anything that needed lubrication. It looks like the fan is poorly balanced in the cage from the factory. Tilting it sideways and removing the plastic baffles seems to have stopped the noise for a few minutes, but it quickly returns when you turn the fan down. Office.

Bargain: Tower Fans

Rating categories do not match this product. I didn't get remotes with them and they don't blow heat. I can tell you that I work in maintenance and my office is often hot as hell with active men in and out and the door never stays closed. This fan has been on my desk for 4 years now and I really like it. My colleagues were constantly sitting at my desk trying to take my breath away, so I bought them both for Christmas two years ago. Definitely a great purchase for a personal desk fan. I also…

Great little fan!

I have two of these fans. I bought both in 2011 a few weeks apart. I liked the first one so much that I bought the second. I don't really like heat so I use those two 6-8 months consistently throughout the year. This means we are talking about BIG usage over the last 6 years (I'm writing this in July 2017). I'm buying a third one right now so I can have one in my office. The two I currently own work with no issues. I've never heard them squeak, but I don't use the rocking feature that often. In

Noise and Rattle - Heating, Cooling and Air Quality

I have an old store bought version of this fan that lasted a couple of years and then started melting from the inside! So I have this "newer" version and it's annoying. The fan is too loud, indicating a crappy design. When I first started it it rattled and made a high pitched noise. Terrible. So I decided to run it at full blast for a couple of hours to "break it in" which helped get rid of the shrill noise and reduce the rattling. When this fan is running you will hear a cyclical ripple noise…
