Lava Lamp Original Brand 20 oz: Captivating Yellow Wax with Mesmerizing Purple Liquid! Review

I ordered a purple lava lamp with yellow wax and received a purple lava lamp with pink wax. Even though the color is very different, I really like this lava lamp and it still brings the room to life.

This is amazing. After getting a replacement bulb for the one that was defective upon delivery, we were able to plug it in and turn it on. It takes a few hours for the lava to get moving on the first run, but once it starts everything is perfect.

This lamp is a source of beneficial pleasure for a 92 year old Alzheimer's patient. The endless array of shapes blending into beautiful colors is a delight. It almost always gets warm when we run it, but that's not a problem because nobody should be touching it.

It's hard to find a good lava lamp. This is the second lava lamp I've ordered from Revain. The cheaper one didn't work well, got very cloudy and the watercolor seemed to ooze into the wax. Bought this one anyway, which was more expensive. He has better wording than the other one, but he has "gas floats". The more you run it, the more little floats you get. flow and when there are too many particles lying around and it just looks dirty.

Looks like a classic lava lamp but the base and top cover are a bit smooth and plastic. It seems unstable because the glass "lava bottle" is so stout and sits on top. Otherwise the lamp works quite well, although I find that the bulb that lights it up and heats the wax seems quite hot and I suspect this is causing the wax to break down too much. So instead of the typical large drops, the wax turns into small bubbles, which is just not what you're looking for in a lava lamp.

My son has been using it as a night light since Christmas 2016. I had no problems with small wax bubbles or anything like that. night is over 2 years old and it seems to be working just as well now as it did when we first got it. I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend for our anniversary as he has always wanted one and it made the perfect gift. However when it arrived the outer packaging was slightly damaged around the edges but I didn't check if the parts were intact or working which was my fault for not checking as I gave it to him when I did got it package.
