frustratingly good for lighting and ceiling fans
Grew up in the 70's and LOVE lava lamps! So I wanted to share the love with my niece who is a freshman in college. They sent me a lamp first to try and make sure it works. To my great dismay it didn't work. However, it is easy to set up. The bulb housing was bent to one side, but the bulb went in easily and the light came on normally. We left it on for 12 hours and the lava bubble at the bottom of the lamp never moved. We noticed a strange "spring" so we assumed this lamp was defective. We were able to return the lamp without any problems, for which we thank the seller. Maybe we'll buy another one sometime.
