Cheap but gets the job done

This thing is so cheap, I was afraid to use it. The stand can easily fall over and does not hold the pen well. The cord has enough weight to pull the pen out of the holder without you noticing causing a fire hazard. The sponge is a joke. I had to cut a kitchen sponge to size. And some assembly is necessary. Cheap but got the job done. Just pay attention to it because of the possible hazard.

Honestly, Worked better than expected.

I kept it at the lowest heat and did some quick soldering for my headphones to replace a splitting wire with jack, and turned it into a female port so I can just use an aux cable. It works fine for short-term use. I expect, the plastic will not hold up at maximum heat and prolonged usage, but for my purposes, it was very good for the price. Honestly, better than stuff that I bought from radio shack back in the day for more money. However, if I was at my father's home with a full soldering…

Great for the price

I lost 2 soldering irons in my garage, and needed something for a quick job with a fine tip, and this worked just fine. The tip set may wear out quickly and need to be replaced frequently.

NIfty little set - my new review

Easy to use if you don't have large projects that need a specific temperature dialed in. It comes with all the tools and materials needed for the job.

Safety hazard, at best.

This thing is garbage. It either heats up or it doesn't, it's inconsistent, inaccurate, and innocuously dangerous. That's my feedback.

Quality kit for my opinion

For the price its a good quality kit. I maybe solder something ever couple of years so it was a good value, I like how it came with a stand and different tips.

Burnt the tip off first use!

Definitely not user friendly. It's extremely hard to tell the temp with that little dial. With that being said I burned the small pointed tip clean off the first time I used it.
