If you buy it, test it carefully before you give it to your kids!

We received this product in early autumn, everything seemed fine. Now that my daughter is actually using it (early winter) I realize it's awful. The letters do NOT make the right sounds when inserted into a magnet. I should have checked it carefully after we received it, but I didn't. If you put "a” in the base, you get the letter p. All of them are wrong. :(

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Negative gift

Not annoying.: Education and training

You know, sometimes a child's toy just gets annoying after a thousand uses. This fun, entertaining and educational toy is a delight. Well, not much if you step barefoot on one of the letters and try to steal a midnight snack. After all, the toy lives in the fridge. Interest in Ted lasts for years, from about 1 year to over 3 years. And children play with it in different ways, thereby expanding their knowledge of the alphabet. The songs aren't annoying. This is a big plus.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • No instructions

Broke down the same day we did. More than half of the letters don't work.

Just received today and broke the same day. The little plastic things that each letter needs to be inserted into so the device knows which letter it is are very brittle and will break. As if it were old rotten plastic. One broke today and more than half of the 'Best Dad' letters and magnets don't work properly or at all. My 1 year old is frustrated and slams the letters into the slot. I think they will make something like this more durable. Really disappointed!

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
