Incorrectly transmitted data about countries

This is a globe, the main purpose of which is the correct representation of different countries. Kashmir is shown as a separate country, which is incorrect. It is necessary to provide real data, and not a district's personnel program. It must follow the internationally recognized UN standard recommendations. I did not expect from a well-known brand - Leapfrog.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • The price of a piggy bank

The previous model was better.

I had an earlier version of this globe that had a find that many countries in one minute game or something. This version doesn't have it. It has a different type of gameplay, less competitive and slower, and mostly for kids. The old version was interesting for the whole family. I bought it with the expectation that it would be the same quiz, but I was very, very disappointed.

Thanks Jumping Frog. My son now wants to go to Bulgaria

My 5 year old son is obsessed with this globe. He can sit for an hour and click one country after another. The screen is small but surprisingly clear and bright. It was also amazing how much information the world actually shares about each country/region. After visiting all the countries, my son became interested in Bulgaria. Now he keeps asking when we can go there.

Made in China and full of Chinese propaganda

I am very disappointed to learn that a California based American company is making an educational product full of Chinese propaganda. Two main problems with this globe: 1) Taiwan, which is officially the Republic of China (ROC), is considered part of mainland China, which is the People's Republic of China (PRC). Whenever you click on Taiwan, information about the People's Republic of China (ie China) is displayed. 2) Similarly, the Spratly Islands and the Paracel Islands also openly claim to be

Pretty cool with an impressive library: but missing some key design options

This globe is pretty cool. We use it as a break when homeschooling from COVID-19. There is a lot of very good information scattered around the globe. Also, it's a GLOBE. And it's great! However: The thing has no headphone jack. It seems idiotic as a design flaw. Is it loud, plays movies on a tiny screen, and has no way to ONLY play it for the user? Imagine any other educational environment. / Face. Another major disadvantage is the fact that you cannot flash or update the program. Our world is…

Safe, independent and educational.

Hours of educational fun at your fingertips. My four children absolutely love this globe and frankly my husband and I do too as it is a safe, imaginative and educational activity that they can do on their own without much help. From an 8 year old to a 2 year old we should set timers for them to move on to another activity and let the siblings spin the globe around. They even ask if we can take it on a trip. This aroused great interest in the knowledge of the world. The two elders expand their…

China-oriented worldview (not USA)

Caution! It's a China-centric view of the world, not the US (unsurprisingly, it was also made in China). For example, Kashmir is shown as a separate country, Aksai Chin is not even shown as a disputed territory but as part of the PRC, and Taiwan is also not recognized (shown as a PRC territory). gov) are different from the world maps shown on this globe - I don't understand how an American company selling products in the US can use China approved maps. fully understand if it was a product sold…

Knowledge is Power - Great STEM Toy

I wasn't sure if I would buy this smart globe as there are very few smart globes like this product on the internet. I ordered another popular brand from Amazon and it arrived lifeless. I finally bought this Leapfrog Smart Globe and am very happy with its features and quality. I am enthusiastic about its functions and can only recommend it. Packaging and Contents: β€’ I purchased the packaging product with no disappointment, the original price is about $79.99. But I ended up buying from stock…
