🤖 Enhanced Learning Resources for Botley Activity Programming Review

I was so excited Santa offered this robot to my 5 year old daughter - but this robot doesn't ride well on my carpet, what's up all playroom surfaces in the house! On carpet, the robot will not go straight, or turn exactly 90 degrees - like on hardwood - simply because the wheels will spin as it tries to pull itself/crawl along the carpet, making programming impossible , since you can't predict how the robot will drive straight lines or curves, I had to send it back.

Botley 2.0 is such a fun and inventive way to teach kids to code! Steam is very important in my house. And since we've been stuck at home for months with seemingly no end in sight, this is a great addition to our homeschooling! My kids (4, 7, 9 and 11 years old) enjoyed playing with this robot. It's easy to set up and I love that even preschoolers can use it (no reading required). All you have to do to program the robot is press the directional arrows to control the robot's movements. The set also includes flags, obstacles and fun tiles for track mapping. I bought this toy for my daughter who just turned 5 years old. She loves to play with Botley and the programming is very easy and understandable for her. She loves that she can program different codes to transform Botley into a frog, train, ghost and more. I love that she can learn to code things in order and use if/then logic as she plays. This is a great toy for kids who love to learn about technology and I love that it's a screenless activity that encourages kids to use their thinking skills

Imagine a 5 year old puts this on Santa's list for a gift that doesn't work in programming mode. I saw another parent post about the same problem. There must be a way to fix this.
