Great scale! on Early Learning & Activity Toys

I just didn't give five stars because one of my arms was bent for the scale. Otherwise, this scale is ABSOLUTELY terrific!

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Suitable for homeschooling

Exactly what I was looking for in a balance sheet for my homeschooling. Buckets can be used with both wet and dry materials. The quality is good, as you would expect from a Learning Resources product. I would buy this scale again.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Little things

Perfectly balanced out of the box. More than expected.

It is ready to use. The cups are very large and it would be convenient for me to pour liquid into them. More than expected. Overall happy with this purchase for my 6 year old school experiments.

  • Price
Cons
  • So far so good

Good introduction to weights and measures

Ideal for toddlers and preschoolers. We measured everything in the house and it's easy for kids to tell if two sides are the same. Transparent plastic buckets are detachable and easy to clean when your experiments end up with dirty or sticky things.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Waiting too long

It is what it is - toy for toddlers and toddlers

It's a scale and it does what it's supposed to do! We've enjoyed using it to measure everything from liquids to sand or anything else that can be weighed. My daughter even started weighing her own toys, including toy toys. It's nice to be able to play with something that gives kids an idea of how big a single item can be, yet still weigh less than something so small. This was a great addition to my daughter's play kitchen as well as her science toys. This is a simple item but got a really great

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models

These are good scales for beginners

These are good scales for beginners. It serves well to introduce balance. Gram Stackers can be purchased separately but are not required out of the box (depending on the needs of your classroom). Use with solids and liquids. It is easy to balance and the kids immediately wanted to learn this new math tool. After writing about the math tools in their interactive notebooks, they immediately went to study and play. It's small and light, making it easy to take with you on the road. However, it can…

The scale is more suitable for older children

I ordered this scale for my 2 year old niece and nephew but found they didn't fit them at all. While I understand that the scale is intended for children over the age of 3, I do not think it is suitable for a child under the age of 6. First, the buckets of measured material fall off the base very easily. Second, if there is a significant weight difference between the two blades, the blades will not move very far. Because of this, children cannot determine the scale point. I was hoping that they
