I have tried several cheaper Revain sharpeners and have been disappointed. They worked flawlessly right out of the box. A quick sling and I was off to the races. Definitely recommend!

For value for money this could be a 5 star buy. My only issue that can be quickly resolved is the grip finish. I bought #1 and #2. I took them out of the box and tested them on soft skin. I couldn't be much happier with them, especially considering the price. Whether it's a straight edge or a curved edge, they worked great. I expect they will get even better after a short stop.

Of course I haven't tried any ++ money bevelers but as far as I've tried about 4 different ones in this price range they are hands down the best. In fact, it's processed evenly, cutting the skin (rather than tearing it or just sliding on it). I have no doubt there are better ones out there but it cuts so well I'm not sure what I'm getting for $50-60 more other than a nicer grip and maybe less sharpening over the course of a year.

Wow what a great product at this price! I've tried a few other budget beveling machines, some of which are around $30 per tool, and I've sent them back. Basically, they just weren't sharp enough to get the job done, didn't hold a blade, or both. I was wary of ordering cheaper edge banders but they are great out of the box. Affordable leatherworking machine straight out of the box. When I placed the order I knew very little about the manufacturer and how well it would work. hardened by gently tapping with a fingernail. The edger actually cuts vegetable tanned leather right out of the box. The edge remover came quicker than expected. The box described was in two bubble mailboxes.
