They are plastic not metal. However, they work great. I used them for the under dash on my CJ7 Jeep. I removed the black covers and then just installed them under the dash and plugged them in. Of course, since these are LEDs, pay attention to the correct polarity. Red is positive and black is ground as you would expect.

Completely made of plastic. I bought 2 based on reviews pointing out imperfections but both I received worked. Easy replacement for the metal license plate light on my trailer. I blew the fuse by connecting the wires in reverse as there were no instructions included. I changed the wires, bought a new fuse and the light worked.

I use them in an unconventional way. I wanted to add additional lighting to the footwell of my '71 Mustang. I wasn't sure if they would be bright enough but luckily they worked great. I would like to add that if you accidentally remove a piece of chrome, it is very easy to turn it upside down, which significantly reduces the brightness. I am very happy with the results. Worked great for me.

I screwed it into a 1/8" thick ABS plastic sheet and installed the sheet (with license plate mounting screws) under and over the rear license plate of my old Honda Accord coupe. The wires go through a hole in the plate.The bracket of the original lantern is rusted.The light is bright but for a more even illumination it is preferable to use a pair of such leds.I've only had it a few weeks.

the price was good they arrived quickly and are as bright or even brighter than the old bulbs on my large caravan. I was tired of changing lightbulbs and doing all the markings etc. When I hooked up the trailer after changing all the running lights, taillights and license plate lights, I noticed that my ammeter consumption went down a bit. Not sure how many, but it's a large 4 horse trailer with full front wheel space. I would buy again at this point.

I bought replacement LED headlights for my trailer. There were so many different providers that it was difficult to choose one. All were about the same price. I bought several and was disappointed when they arrived, didn't like the quality. I decided to order in the online store of LEDs. I was very impressed with the quality so ordered the rest of the lights including the license plate light and was again very happy with the quality and documentation provided. Excellent quality!
