Good bulbs, hard to find

These bulbs are hard to find in stores. They have a reflector that focuses the light where the lamp is pointing. I use them at the Skyline show.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • old

These are 130v bulbs

These bulbs are rated at 45w at 130v. But the tension in the US is usually lower. They don't have the brightness of my old 45 watt bulbs labeled 120 volts and the light is more yellow. I'm disappointed. They are not bright enough for my purposes. They all arrived safe and sound and none of them were dead.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Almost never

So far so good with bulbs

The lamp still works although I don't use this lamp very often so I can't comment on durability. I will say this, one lamp out of six broke and there was no protective packaging in the shipping box. This surprised me as these are glass bulbs I think they would be protected. In terms of value for money I can't comment as I didn't get what I paid for as one was broken. :(

Pros
  • SYLVANIA value pack: 6 light bulbs with reflector, R20, 45 W, 130 V, medium base, internal frost protection.
Cons
  • Only available in white

Not worth the money or the hassle

At least one of the bulbs was broken when the package arrived, but I didn't know until I went to install the bulb. The lifespan of the bulb is quite short; maybe just for a few weeks. Two of the lamps had their glass separating from the metal socket when I was removing them and one lamp had its glass separating from the metal socket when I was installing it. This product is definitely not worth the money, time or hassle. !

Pros
  • Color temperature 2850 Kelvin
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Penny-wise, pound-silly.

I bought this pack of Sylvania R20's in December 2012, thinking that the average price per bulb was around $3 (in case I need to replace the bulbs in my house's downlights). Well, it's May 2013 and I've run out of Sylvania 6-Pack. During that time I've had 3 built-in jars that have blown bulbs - in other words, I've used more than 1 Sylvania bulb for each of those jars. The most interesting thing is that Philips Ecovantage lamps, which I installed long before these Slyvanias, still work in…

Pros
  • pack of 6 bulbs
Cons
  • boring pack
