Great underrated filter.

I have 3 Lee gravel packs in 3 tanks that all work backwards. Lee's premium is great and gravel packs are generally underrated. I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Outdoor

Very heavy duty aquarium pumps and filters

I was surprised at how thick the plastic was. He is very thick and hard. The weight of the filter and manufacturer's packaging is four pounds. It should hold up a lot better than the ones they're replacing.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Out of style

Good quality but expensive

I gave less stars because it's expensive. The quality is good compared to other thin plastic filters. (Actually, this is normal quality, and others are worse, but even normal quality is hard to find these days.)

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Poor repairability

That's what I was looking for, but it is what it is.

This is what I was looking for, but it's very expensive for the simple plastic hardware it is. I felt cheated but bought it because I had no other choice. I wish there were more competitors offering this product.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • socket required

Serves its purpose but feels a bit cheap.

Although the size is listed as 18" x 48", it is actually 2 panels, each slightly smaller than 18" x 24". Fits perfectly in my 75 gallons. 3 possible tube positions on each plate. Dirt that gets on the underside seems to stay where it was so I'm not sure how much water flow is at the bottom.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • unreliable

A must have in any gravel or large aquarium/terrarium

I have used these in aquariums in the past. Decided to try it as part of a humidity control system in the 75 gallon tank that holds my ball python. Undoubtedly, large aquariums do best under gravel packs. It's not even a question. As for using it as a moisture barrier, it definitely works, but you'll need a thinner substrate layer than usual. When used in bioactive plants, you may lose some bugs when hit by it.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Disappears

I'm not doing the work I thought I would do and .

Doesn't do the job I figured it might do the job and I have two linked power heads that push 350 gallons per hour. Update: I took out the gravel to see how much it actually sucks (filter). As I said, with a 350 GPH engine you need to suck in enough to filter. I watched the particles drift along the bottom without being sucked in through the vents. The reason I did this was because I picked up a lot of dirt while vacuuming the gravel. I was hoping that with my 110 Aqua Clear (which filters…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
