This hose is built to withstand heavy use. He's handsome, fat, and great-looking. The use looks much better than clear tubing and fits perfectly on all pump fittings. There is no fear that it will fall out. Passing water instead of air also means you don't have to worry about algae getting into the pipes. There is no reason not to recommend it. If you're looking for something brighter than clear tube, you might be wrong!

My rooster Hori is housed in a 7.5 gallon black backed tank. I wanted to change it to a sponge filter that an airline needs. I was afraid to use a regular transparent airline because of the aesthetics. This black airline disappears in front of a black wall. It seems more solid and a little less flexible than a transparent airline. It fits perfectly with my air pump, foam filter and check valve. I saw it locally after ordering here and the price was almost the same.

Bought this because I wanted a black tube to give it a high tech look. The tube is gloss black, which is fine, but flat black would have been better for me. It also has a vinyl/plastic look, much thinner and less stretchy than regular tubing which has a more stretchy and flexible texture. Another thing I didn't take into account is that in a saltwater tank, salt accumulation is noticeably more on a black background than on a clear one.

Everyone seems to love it but honestly I hate it. Maybe I got a bad batch? I would hardly call it "flexible" and it wrinkled constantly so it restricted/blocked airflow. Overall VERY disappointed after spending over an hour swapping out the clear tube I have, reburying etc. I had to do it all over again, I went to my local pet store and bought a different brand (cheaper than this) and It's great. This slim Lee air hose ends up in the trash which is very disappointing =(

I have a black background and the clear vinyl tube is sticking out like a sore thumb and I'm tired of changing it because it loses its flexibility and when it does it gets stiff and won't more hold. Does not work too. This tubing is perfect for my Fusion 500 air pump, as well as my air stones, bladder wand and bandage valve. It goes great with my background and the black suction cups. If you're trying to hide plumbing, this is the way to go. It was easy to cut with scissors and there was enough

This may sound crazy, but it's true. I have a goldfish tank and for some reason my wonderful Manx cat who has been with me for 3 years has a problem chewing on the leash that gives my fish the air to live.
