I bought a round table for $160 and the top finish was like a kid who got a C in junior carpentry. Mottled, uneven patch; dimples, waves and ledges on the "wood"; and the transparent layer was dull and uneven. If they went for a "satin" finish, they became "milky". This is practically a great piece of furniture. It's durable, has a nice finish and wasn't too difficult to put together. Unfortunately, my table had a big flaw. There are plastic caps on the bottom of each leg that are attached to the leg with a small nail. They should be centered and line up with the bottom of the leg.
