My first impression when I took this product out of the box was that it was a bit overpriced for the quality. And then I tried. This cap remover WORKS GREAT. I've used it on lids of various sizes. Everything from small spice jars to mayonnaise lids to medium-sized peanut butter lids. They all came off with no problems. I am an elderly person and my hands hurt a lot. This item works great most of the time (small lids have flaws but when it works the lid cracks like many sealed jars and the lid unscrews with no problem). I've been using for a couple of months, probably 15 times, it worked 13 times. Seems well made and solid. I have arthritis in my thumbs and cans are very difficult to open even using a rubber grip. Although I have a much more powerful can opener, this bottle opener is in the center which works better than my more powerful Kitchen Aid can opener to open my Gerosteiner sparkling water. With Gerosteiner sparkling mineral water, the bottle cap is very difficult to unscrew. I like to use this to unscrew and then retighten the cap to keep the bottle nat for two days.
