At first glance it looks like a good file. Seemingly well made, with a good finish and a comfortable grip. Upon examining the polished surface, the coating showed some imperfections, but they seemed insignificant. I use a foot file when my feet are dry. When using this file, the grinding surface "cloggs" after several passes. It could be washed but would not work well as a dry file. If I could return it for a refund I would.

Excellent item. I broke my ankle and it helped remove a million dead skin cells after the cast came off. I use it on my husband's scaly feet and he doesn't even mind. Easy to wash. When I'm done, I wrap it in a paper towel for storage.

This is actually the BEST. Chronic accumulation of dead, dry (and cracked) skin on the heels seems to be a common thing in my family. I've tried everything. Lotions, Epsom salts, essential oils, coconut oil, shea butter, all kinds of pumice stone, metal rasps and files. Nothing has ever worked quite as remotely as this one. And literally in one application! My heels are incredibly smooth Tip: Apply after drying, not after soaking.

If I were to give stars based on the questions asked, it would be a five star product. However, I've only had this item for about two weeks and have used it 3 times, it breaks and falls off the handle. I am in the process of making a return for a refund. Unsatisfied.

This file is no better or worse than any I have ever used. What you see is what you get. a wooden file with a rough emery end to file the leg. There's nothing special about this file compared to others to deserve all the rave reviews, but they got me hooked again and I gave it a try anyway. No more disposable plastic nail files! Most of these files are only enough for a few uses (if you have big corns). This file works so well! It will take at least a year, maybe two! And best of all, NO PLASTIC. Just be sure to rinse it after each use to keep it sharp and clean.

Works great. I was looking for a file that would be gentle enough on my skin but would do a good job of removing calluses on my feet. It's really well done. The wooden handle is thick enough to make it strong and the file stays in place. I've tried metal shoes in the past and they were rough on my skin. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Robust machine, grinding element does not break. As for potency, I have old weathered feet and was a bit disappointed with the overall potency. It removes dead skin but does not provide a full corrective effect. IE makes legs smoother but not smooth. You can consider it as a tool to improve foot care through repeated use. cleaning the device; I would suggest some kind of brush to remove the growths.
