Won't boot from dock

It worked once but that was because I started my laptop from the laptop and not the dock. Will not boot from docking station.

Yes, it extends your desktop. I connect.

Yes, it will extend your desktop. I connect my laptop to it to use two separate PC monitors. When I open my laptop it could be 3 separate monitors.

  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Was corrupted

Yes but. for computer and accessories

Works well. My only complaint is that the laptop doesn't get power from the dock, so you still have to plug the power cord directly into the laptop. In addition, it can use another USB port or two.

Broke after only two months of use.

Ethernet port failed after less than three months of use. Lenovo offers a 3 year warranty but for some reason it doesn't cover this device and I couldn't figure out how to contact the seller for a replacement or my money back. It shouldn't have failed so early in the first place.

  • Slim design

NOT compatible with all advertised laptops

Although the specifications of this docking station state that it is compatible with the Lenovo ThinkPad E570, the included AC adapter is too low in wattage to power this laptop model unless , the laptop is in sleep mode or is on off. My customer still has to use the original AC adapter that came with the Lenovo laptop, which plugs directly into the laptop, defeating the purpose of a docking station. It's easier than unplugging every cable like it used to be, but if the docking station's power…

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • matte packaging

This is fine if you still want to connect your laptop to the power adapter. The use case really involves connecting many peripherals to your laptop, such as: B. a wired mouse, a wired keyboard and a printer. Since you can already connect a monitor to your laptop, this would be useful for someone with multiple monitors (there are workarounds here - think DVI + DisplayLink monitor over USB, which is possible without this device). However, with many moving to wireless or Bluetooth, the utility…
