unusually high, narrow waist and very low pockets

I had to believe other reviewers but we needed black jeans. You have an oddly high, narrow waist. It's like they took regular skinny jeans and added a slim 2 inch waist to them. My son is underweight and has a tight waist. The length of the legs is great but the bum is low (because the waist is an extra 2 inches) and large pockets on the back of the hips almost to the knees. In the future I will look to more expensive ones I bought at Target or Gap Outlet for stretchy comfortable kids jeans.

Very good jeans for the money and a great help to my special needs child

This is my 8th pair of these jeans for my son who has special needs and needed these jeans so badly to help him be more independent on the toilet at school. He doesn't need a teacher or assistant to help him unbutton or buckle his pants to go to the bathroom. He can just pull them up or down by himself. It's growing so fast that recently I had to enlarge it. I may need to buy a few more pairs before school starts. These are good jeans. The quality of the jeans is excellent and they look like…

These pants are a must have for the kid that isn't their usual slim size. Having them is a real treat as it gives your husky kid the edge of having the trendy jeans that skinny kids wear. The difference is that skinny kids have buttoned pants while older kids have elastic waistbands to give them a breather.
