Disappointing build quality and function

According to my experience, this tripod lacked durability and stability. It's made out of carbon, but it felt flimsy especially when used with heavier cameras. The height also doesn't adjust easily, making it inefficient for quick shoots. However, the plus side is that the company is well-known for producing good quality electronics, but I wouldn't recommend this tripod.

Pros
  • Strong and durable due to its carbon fiber construction.
Cons
  • Heavier and bulkier than some other tripods on the market, which may make it less portable.

Do you want your RRS tripod to be overpriced and never sold out? Here!

CHECK - the head is the right size to easily fit the available platforms and accessories. CHECK - Adjustable height that isn't excessive but allows me to adjust glass or pistol without leaning or reaching. CHECK - can I put this in…

Pros
  • 3-position leg locks 25° 55° 85°
Cons
  • No instructions

Great tripod by any standard

I bought the Leofoto LN-324C together with the LH-40 head 18 months ago. I am a professional photographer and have taken about 25,000 shots with this tripod and head in that time. I have 9 tripods plus heads and related products from Gitzo, Manfrotto, Sirui, Slik, Giottos, Nodal Ninja, Desmond, Neewer and more. The LN-324C and LH-40 are by far the best of the bunch (including the Gitzo). You could save 8 ounces by spending triple the price of a set of RRS legs and more per head, but while I've…
