Good headlight for Rad Rover electric bike.

A big improvement over the standard headlight. Can be used with electric bikes of different voltages, which is a big plus. I had a small problem with the installation, but DealPe quickly solved the problem. I used the handlebar mount that came with it, but the manufacturer might want to take a look at the single-hole fork mount that's common on modern e-bikes. If you want a nice clean install that runs straight off the main battery, this is a good solution.

Great bike light with one flaw

Very bright and narrow focus beam. Easy installation and solid construction, but there is one key downside. The wired cable pulls out of the case easily, but is easily prevented from doing so. Remove the screws from the back of the flashlight, remove the bracket from the wire. Tie a knot on the wire near the back of the case, thread the wire through the brace and install. The knot prevents the wire from being pulled through the shackle, a step that would take 2 seconds to assemble and does notโ€ฆ

Good light for my e-bike

This is a great replacement for the tiny stock headlight that came on my Rad Power Bike. Knowing how to properly cut, strip, and wrap wires is half the battle. Installing the lantern may require you to make some very simple metal bends for your own application and customization. But what difference does it make how much light falls! No comparison! This light is MUCH better than stick lights. I'm skeptical about the water resistance, could use some sealant on the back before I have problems with

Fairly powerful lamp, only works with 10 watts for me but that's enough

Fairly light, with very thin metal. Like others I doubt it's waterproof so I sealed it with silicone glue. It's bright enough for my electric scooter, which travels 24mph on dark roads, although my wattmeter says it's only using 10 watts. Over twice as bright as a 400 lumen bulb, so I don't have any major complaints in terms of functionality. The wide voltage range is amazing and I wonder if the performance varies at different voltages. For reference, I'm using a 36V 10s lithium batteryโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Repair

The top two LEDs are factory and the bottom two add a bay lens/filter. Dead three LED bulbs, another from a cheap flashlight. I just sanded the lens until it fit. (right side) Not sure from actual testing, but when the light is projected onto the wall, the flood and spot lights seem to work. Also, the mount isn't practical, which is something the company should invest in. Maybe with a lens so there is some separation of the light instead of one big spotlight. Paid 16.40 not sure if it's worthโ€ฆ

Bright, well built and inexpensive but with a design flaw

I got tired of charging my previous headlight and sometimes forgot. So I bought this flashlight to use directly with my electric bike's 48V battery. The lamp is compact and bright enough for the money. It's fine if you're primarily using it for nighttime use and illuminating the road ahead. But it doesn't have a blink or strobe mode; Having one of these modes is desirable for daytime use as a safety light to attract driver attention. Bright flashing light attracts much more attention inโ€ฆ

Extremely bright light

I connected it to my e-bike. Mainly set to 48v but there is also a 36v battery which I will be using. The light has a bright hotspot but also a pretty decent splash. The color range is 5500-6000K, it's incredibly bright, and after the few complaints I've ridden I've lowered the beam a bit to avoid dazzling riders and other riders. I've only had a few hours of light use so can't comment on durability but love it. It doesn't even get hot. It wasn't even warm, but I suppose it would be even on aโ€ฆ

Good light, good value for money, "waterproof "? Maybe not

As advertised. Works well at different voltages. Bought 4 of these lamps. After a dyno test (28 volt draws just under 1 amp) I found that the COLOR of the light was in the 6000K+ range, too blue for my needs, but the base was just what I needed for my outdoor lighting project. I bought a bag of 5 watt 4000K chips (you need 4 per light), removed the chips that came with this light and replaced them with 4000K chips. I LOVE the heatsink that the chips are attached to, it's heavy and more adequate

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Good but not great

I've used a lot of USB rechargeable bike lights in the past. I also bought some 48V headlights which I returned. I wanted a 48v bike light with a focus on the road AND a good Splash with wider coverage. I ordered it and it arrived in two days. The first step was to remove the back cover and tie a knot at the back of the panel to keep the wires from pulling out of the lantern (thanks to a review I read before ordering). The power cables were connected to an existing 48V bike headlight. Now theโ€ฆ
