Yes, I did. I cut the cord with my brush cutter. I would have cut off my finger too if I hadn't cut the umbilical cord. Thank God I held the cord in the same hand. This replacement connector is industrial grade and very easy to install. The instructions on the back of the box are simple enough for idiots like me to follow. Do your fingers a favor and take my advice. Keep both hands on the hedge trimmer when trimming hedges. It will remove your finger as easily as it cuts a hedge.

Reliable and very durable. Still

However, as others have said, it's not easy to plug a male adapter into this connector - it's too tight. I've read several reviews that indicated wires are difficult to get around screws. I think so, but this port isn't designed to work that way. You loosen the screws and there are pieces/plates of metal between which you insert the stripped wires. This is very simple and can be done with any number of sensors. While this plug is a little fiddly to plug in, it works very well, has solid…

Absolutely the best replacement extension I have ever bought.

I bought this for its round shape which fits nicely in my generator breaker when I need it. What struck me was the thought that popped into my mind to do this with the do-it-yourself consumer in mind. Cable lock is effective and cable placement is easy thanks to the "L" shaped plates on the screw mounts that allow you to insert the stripped cable straight and screw tight; Stop hooking the wire and struggle to secure it with a screw. This feature prompted me to write a review on this product.

Fixed my power strip after an accident.

The old blower we had had caught fire and melted the end of the cord. I didn't want to buy a new 75ft extension (it hasn't gotten any cheaper in 20 years). I decided to try replacing the ending. After reading several reviews of other products, I settled on this one as the best in terms of value for money. And it was! It was very easy to assemble and the cables and connector itself are very reliable. While it's not waterproof (not a big deal here in Arizona), the yellow color makes it highly…

Best quality connector

I have replaced several wire ends over the years and this is one of the best. Connecting and twisting was easy. The wiring for my cable is black wire with brass screw, white with silver, blue (you can have green) with green screw. Use a professional tester when it's done and all is well. While this, like most home power strips, is designed for humid environments, the connection between this and whatever you're plugging into is hardly ever fully waterproof, and the case doesn't feel fully…

I bought three of these sockets to make extension cords. After assembling the first two and then trying them out, none of the five plugs I had fit the outlet. Some were 2 pin and some were 3 pin so I tried a third socket and couldn't connect it. I have contacted Leviton and am hoping for a satisfactory response, but I don't see how they can make up for the wasted 30 minutes. Well it's been about 40 days now and numerous emails and phone calls are still unresolved. I don't think they know how to
