Disappointing on memory card accessories

I read four good reviews and one bad review so I decided there would be no problems. Unfortunately, a bad rating was correct in my case. While this product would be very helpful and I'm sure it works 4 times out of 5, if it's your 5th time it's completely useless. Lexar Media tech support even had this cool 24/7 online chat help but when I actually used it they didn't even remotely help, they just tried to ignore me until I left. When I finally got her to say something helpful, I was told toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • I have doubts

Works great with Fuji and Windows XP Home

I bought this smart reader with my new FinePix 2800 Zoom camera (which comes with a 16MB FujiFilm smart card). I've used the USB reader on numerous occasions with no problems, but have yet to try other card sizes or other brands. Installation on Windows XP was easy and required no included driver software. My camera came with FinePixViewer software for downloading and minor editing of images from my digital camera, but it also downloads easily from a Lexar card reader and saves batteriesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Sad packaging

This is complete rubbish; Don't waste your money.

I bought this about two weeks ago and have yet to get it working. I have two XP's, 95's and two 98SE's and this peripheral apology CANNOT be read by NONE of these machines via USB. I even downloaded the latest driver from the Lexar site. I actually say "last" but maybe I should have said "last". Because if you try to find this reader on the product page, it will not be found. Why? Because it was discontinued, that's why. God knows if this thing EVER worked (of course there were +ve reviews)โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

DOESN'T WORK WITH WINDOWS 7

This will be a quick review as all I can say is that the driver doesn't install on Windows 7 and unlike many USB devices nowadays it doesn't. will not start without installing the driver from the CD. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because when I went back and read the description more closely, it actually said "Microsoft Windows 98, SE, Me or 2000". So it's my fault for not reading every word, but they should underline it on the list because it's a bit weird selling a device that only worksโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good build
Cons
  • It gives error
