Removes the middle ring

I received this central locking ring removal tool and it did the job perfectly. First I tried the park bb19 tool but it kept slipping off. This tool is very well made. Very difficult. I would highly recommend.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Great value for money, well built.

This is a bush for removing and installing the bottom bracket. Don't worry about the tool's durability or efficiency. Great price compared to other brands. If you want to tighten your bottom bracket to spec, you need a wrench, not a cheap wrench.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Folded

Will NOT work with 6 hole centerlock adapters

For some stupid reason the teeth on this tool are slightly tapered. This makes it completely useless to remove the 6 screws of the Centerlock disc brake adapter. In addition, the picture on this page clearly shows that there is NO such cone. False advertising? You decide.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Very expensive

Well built and works with Shimao MTB bottom brackets

I already have a similar Park Tool bottom bracket bushing for a road bike bottom bracket and need another one for MTB bottom brackets. What's a little annoying is that I need so many different tools to work with the bottom brackets (3 different types of sockets, a crank puller and a Shimano cap tool. I'm just glad I didn't have to work with a bottom bracket press to fit.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Durable

100% of the job done for 69% of the cost!

TBH I can't tell how this tool differs from the one sold by Big Tool Concern with the blue logo, but I can say it fit my bottom bracket (SRAM GXP) perfectly and was able to get the job done. If I were a professional bottom bracket builder/disassembler I might factor expected longevity into my rating, but given that I'll probably use it less than 10 times in my remaining years on earth, I think it'll do the trick for me .

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • old

Good tool with features that simpler devices don't have

This is a heavy duty head for the suction cups with external bearings. I find this to be a much better design than thin handled wrenches or those that only fit in a socket. Why? Due to the likelihood that you will ever encounter a stuck BB cup. A wrench with a thin handle will kill your hand, and a socket wrench isn't that long. Get a longer adjustable wrench that engages the flats on this tool and you're probably done. If it's really sticking (like mine was recently), I could put the bushingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Upgradeable

This tool is excellent for Shimano SM-BBR60 bottom bracket

First of all - if you are tech savvy this tool is a 16 knurled tool with a diameter of 44mm. (Smaller diameter 44 mm, large diameter approx. 46 mm). It fits directly onto many Wheels Manufacturing threaded bottom brackets. More importantly for many of us, it will also fit a Shimano TL-FC25 polymer adapter, which in turn will then fit standard SMBBR-60 English threaded bottom bracket shells. It also fits directly to Shimano Centerlock disc brake disc retaining rings. The inside of this tool isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Not suitable for making bottom wheel mounts

Update: This is the perfect tool for installing locking rings for center locks (obviously the type that screws in from the outside, not the female variety you need a locking tool for require Shimano cassette rings). Now that I'm using this tool, I'm increasing my rating from 3 to 5 stars. I'm sure it's a good tool. However, it does not fit the Wheels Manufacturing BB86 bottom bracket despite what the seller claims in the question I asked. I had to buy Park Tool BBT29. You can see in theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Some bugs

Amazing top notch BB tool. No, there is no cassette holder ring.

Without a doubt this is an absolutely amazing and high quality instrument in every respect. So recently my bike started to squeak a bit in the bottom bracket and of course this is totally unacceptable so I decided to do the maintenance myself and since I have SRAM GXP cups I had to buy an external bottom bracket tool. The cheapest I've seen. the tool for was about 17.50 and in fact the lezyne here looked like the overall best candidate for the job, it has a 3/8 inch socket that allows me to use

Pros
  • It is amazing
Cons
  • There are flaws
