🍲 Premium Glass Casserole Dish with Lid, 3-Quart – Libbey Baker's Basics Review

I bought this pan to replace an old Corning Ware french white pan that had no handles and was almost impossible to remove from the oven without yourself to burn. BUT the "handles" on this one are so narrow and poorly designed it's almost worse than the older one. Looks good and bakes well, but if you have arthritic hands find another one.

I needed a 2 liter microwaveable casserole dish that would cover my expenses. This pan is wide, not deep, so food cooks more evenly and faster. The bowl and lid are made of heavy, durable glass that won't crack or crack. This is my new favorite casserole.

The glass edge of the lid lid is badly damaged. It is so deformed that it does not fit well. There is no manufacturer label, oven safety symbol or glass type on this pan. I wouldn't risk putting a room temperature or cold dish straight into a preheated oven. The thickness of the glass seems strong enough and it arrived quickly with no cracks or chips.

My search is finally over! This is the perfect microwave cookware! The size is perfect for 2 or 3 veggies and the glass lid is the only way out! I have a lot of glass bowls but with plastic lids. Bad idea. You need a way to aerate your food and a glass lid is perfect. It fits well but lets steam escape. I will be getting the smaller round version so I have everything I need!
