Libbey Heavy Base Tumbler Glasses Review

It's becoming increasingly difficult to find American-made lead-free products, especially for glassware and tableware. I keep buying these wonderful Libbey glasses because I can trust the brand and they are beautiful in their simplicity. I don't buy glassware outside of the US, and neither should you. They're long-lived, but my teens manage to get through them by throwing them in our porcelain sink. They are great and stand up to normal use by regular non-teen people. I will continue to support

that I really wanted to like. You look great and have a great weight. However, they are incredibly thin at the top and won't break on anything. I originally ordered 24 and in less than a year we have less than 10. They are difficult to hand wash (unless you have tiny hands) and break at the slightest touch. Almost literally everything. 8 out of 8 of these packed and sealed glasses were defective. I have been using Libbey Gibraltar glasses for many years which became opalescent after use in the dishwasher so I ordered a replacement. I have never seen such poor quality in stores! Almost every glass had brush strokes visible horizontally down the sides, as if someone had run a real brush around the perimeter during production while the glass was still hot.
