This is a newer model of their active lid and it's terrible. If your bottle falls, it will all spill, period. I'm returning this for an old model that I love. Thank god I was able to find it. Can't recommend this new one at all.

With or without the rubber insert I wouldn't call it tight. I like this style of drinking, but I don't like that the rubber insert has to be removed to properly clean the cap. One day I forgot to replace it and in fact water splashed on my lunch bag - my misfortune. Even when using the liner, the spout doesn't sit like a cork.

leaking, and soon after receiving it I noticed that the lid didn't close completely. It leaked into my lunch bag several times and I figured I just didn't seal it tightly. It wasn't until I looked more closely that I realized it wasn't fully closed. Unfortunately when I noticed it was right after closing the window to bring it back.

We have had a lifelong factory for many years and I love it. Unfortunately they reworked the lid and I do NOT like them - they lick. I searched their homepage to see if I could find an old cap - NO. so very disappointed. Luckily I kept 2 old lids of the same color. Hooray! but I have 2 new covers that are gathering dust. get rid of them! To be honest, I can't think of any motivation to change.
