Keep looking, this isn't the bag you want!

The bag was big and roomy, just what we were looking for. We followed the instructions and recommendations for filling, bleeding, valve tightening and storage recommendations and it worked like a champ. until the next day when the bag slowly began to inflate. Unfortunately the integrity of the pouch is poor, maybe a top zip or a bad valve, but the size of the pouch is now as it was before we deflated and compressed the pouch. I would say stick with the space bag if you want thick quality bags…

Works as advertised

I took a double memory foam mattress, folded it in half and put it in my bag (pretty easy). I sealed it, vacuumed it (5 minutes) and it was nice and compact. Then I rolled it up (not that easy considering it was so tight) and wrapped it with lots of duct tape and clear tape. I did this because I have experience with vacuum bags and know that expecting a cheap plastic bag to stay sealed forever (especially with a mattress inside!) is unreasonable. Anyway, with the tape around it, it lasted about

I'm surprised it works as planned.

Do you know that sometimes when you look at the description and think and plan and when you come across something that you didn't think of or something happens that you didn't think of? Well, it wasn't one of those times. Of course, this is an ordinary vacuum bag, but are the dimensions correct? Will it fit on a foam mattress as planned? YUP! My daughter went to an out-of-state school, so I had to keep her mattress pad. Which, as you can see, is quite bulky and takes up a lot of space. I was…

You won't get a foam mattress in this bag without a lot of help. In my case, I was able to do this by sitting 3 people on the edge of the bag to give the mattress some compression while I zipped the opening shut. Then, while people were still sitting on the bag, I vacuumed it off. If the bag was about 10 inches longer, there would be enough room inside to zip the zippers up without assistance. It's also fairly thin and probably won't hold vacuum compression on its own for very long. For this…
