This is the best illuminated magnifier I've ever used. I use them on vintage jewelry to mark marks and check for stones or damage. This is my second, my last one was lost but lasted over a year, couldn't wait for mine, I really missed it as I use it every day!

Ideal for controlling soldering work. Ergonomic and doesn't get in the way of what you want to inspect. The light is pure white, not adjustable but I find it bright enough, balanced and very useful. I don't think the zoom is close to 40x. It's more of a 10x magnification compared to other magnifiers.

Had problems charging a cell phone. This magnifying glass gave me a good look at the inside of the charging/USB port. Use plastic floss toothpicks to remove any lint/debris that was preventing the power cord from making a good connection. Use a vacuum to suck up loose material after moving. Light compressed air might help. Now the phone works great!
