We bought these for our camper van. It was a little in the previous. First I read the reviews about it. Some of the answers were yes, blue, white and off. So figured they did as the reviews said so. However, they are only on white and off. No threesome. There is no blue. So don't buy them if you are looking for 3 stripes: blue, white and off. These works are good as I thought. So be careful with reviews. You may not look at the same as what you will receive.

I bought these to replace a similar version that uses a touch switch to turn the light on and off. These were defective and were returned. The switch on these lamps is actually the lens itself, turning the light on and off when pressed. They appear to be well made and have a nice nickel finish. The color of the lamp is warm white and the brightness is more than enough for reading at night. The only thing I would like to change is to make the light beam a bit wider, but overall they are perfect.

2 bought and installed. One of the switches broke after a few days. I bought two more because I thought I did. Went to install a second light and the lamp which was out of order started smoking when the power was switched on and shorted out, smoking and smelly cabin in the boat. I installed the next lamp, slid across the seat and touched the lamp, there was static electricity and the lamp failed. So out of 4 bought, 2 were unsuccessful. I installed two reading lights in my converted bus. They are much brighter than I wanted or expected. I put them upside down over the bed and have to turn them away from us or they are too bright to be placed directly overhead. One stopped working on the 3rd day of use, I checked all my connections and made sure I have power up to the button switch in my head and that I have power on the back of the button switch but I can't test based on my findings changing to LED, so I don't know about wires

Good thing that won me over. (to get 4) first was the price, second was the smart switch, third was the supposed "96 hour salt test". Salt tests are used to validate claims of seaworthiness. In the US and EU we have strict standards. The claim to this product is not transparent. The type of base metal used is not specified. "Nickel color" can just mean nickel plated - or in this case probably nickel plated. A 96 hour soak in superchlorinated water is a good test of smokiness. We do not know. My
