I was looking at the reviews of this LED strip and thought it might be very good Ordered 2, for each of my computers as a tinted backlight. However, when I received it I immediately had the feeling that it was a poor quality product, very cheap plastic, very brittle and you can see that they cut corners everywhere. and the first block lights up only 1/3 of the strip. the second set, click green, have nothing, click white light, turn pink, click yellow, turn red. Apparently I received a used product - maybe someone sent it back or it was a test product. In short, the glue wasn't sticky and the battery was old. The controller says it needs a CR2025 but when I took the battery out there was a CR1220 in it. These are COMPLETELY different batteries. The battery inside was completely scratched and old - deceptive because it came with a plastic slider as if it was new and unused. I'm not very impressed. The glue worked fine, but when I started peeling off the sticker, it ripped some glue with it and then fixed it in strands. But then came a broken remote control, the buttons seemed to come loose, as if they should be glued better? So I did. No big deal. I have super glue. But then I try to use the remote control and it really sucks. It's almost impossible. I can't open the battery compartment with the remote either. The lights work fine when on. So that's a plus. Good lights when they worked but they had a few problems. the strip does. As a result, I had a "disco effect" until I unplugged and plugged the strip back in (it often didn't respond to the remote control). Another problem I had was the strip failing completely. If you disconnect and reconnect the strip, it will blink white once and then stop working. These lights later (next day) turned back on by themselves. To be clear, they work and do for the most part, but there are some behaviors that need to be pointed out that caused me to remove them. 1) When they lose power, they blink by default. Reboot the system they are connected to and they will flash again until you use the remote to change the lighting mode. This leads to my next point. 2) The remote control mostly doesn't work.
