Great fun, the best of building toys

Almost 30 years ago we had these bricks for our kids. Now we have a set for the grandson. We bought a different type of brick with a glossy finish. It's not that much fun putting them together. These brick blocks from Lillian Vernon have a matte finish, are durable and we'll be buying them again and again!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

I love these building blocks in Construction Toys

These building blocks stood in my first grade Sunday school room many years ago and the kids never got tired of them. Now I'm in a new church and I work with 2-4 year olds. This is a great addition to other gift toys. I wish they were cheaper. I could only afford 2 sets but may need to add more. They are very strong.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • A Little Bit

Inexpensive creative toy for many years

Bought 26 years ago for my nephew who loved them for many many years. I just bought them for my nephew's son who is only 1.5 years old and loves them and I expect to continue to do so for many years to come. He can stand on them, throw them and stick them, and he also uses his imagination to build with them.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Can't remember

Feels good in the hands of a 2 year old.

Got this for a little lady's birthday and was able to put it together while she slept in another room. It definitely took less than half an hour and it was pretty damn easy to get out of date. When she woke up they immediately turned into projectiles and had no dents, they also served as small steps to climb on and so far are holding up perfectly. I wish I had had the foresight to buy pastel bricks but they are classic and she loves them.

Favorite toy - highly recommend

My grandkids loved them when they were little (grandkids at school/college passed them on to a cousin for their grandkids). This set was for my grandnephew. I had at least 100 blocks for my grandkids, enough for a fortress, princess castle, etc. A grandnephew will have more as he gets older. Large lightweight duffle style bags are great for storage and handy for little ones to move/pull to where they play.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some bugs

Best Blocks Ever

I can confirm that these blocks are by far the best in every way. I bought them for my son's second birthday from the same company and I still have them, that's 31 years ago. I bought this new set for my grandson's second birthday so my son could have his original set to take home and a new set at Grandma's. I encourage everyone to buy abstracts. My son and daughter played with them for hours and it was fun watching their imaginary thoughts. My grandson is starting to play with it too.

Pros
  • This is Amazing
Cons
  • Secret

The blocks are too small

It's my own fault for this purchase. When both my children were between the ages of 3 and 10, their favorite toy was a set of cardboard cubes. They were large blocks of red and had a durable plastic coating on them. I decided to buy a set for my 3 year old granddaughter and chose these blocks from Lillian Vernon as I thought they were similar. I was wrong. The blocks are smaller and made from much cheaper cardboard. For the price paid I expected much more. After receiving the stones I checked…

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
