You get what you pay for – cheap and easy. The cable connector does not fit properly on the underside of the rubber antenna mount. For a universal antenna, there are also no universal options in the database. I would not recommend that.

Looking for an inexpensive antenna for use on a boat. This antenna appears to be spring loaded and has an adjustment screw in the gauge. He doesn't have either. It's just a molded piece of plastic. There is no adjustment or spring loading with this antenna. I would not recommend this product.

This thing looks and according to the description it moves. In reality, however, the "Spring View" below is NOT where it leads. The only thing "gives" is rubber. Which is basically useless once you get past something. A spring would make this a really solid piece. Now I just have to hope I don't hit ANYWHERE near the base of this item or it breaks.

I bought it just for the cable but ended up using the base as well as that cable didn't fit my standard base (Aveo '05). Since many reviews say the antenna is fake, I haven't tried it; I just used my old antenna. The cable worked great. The base is questionable: moisture could seep through it (but you can fix it with a gasket), and changing the angle of the antenna is not at all intuitive.

Looks good but the base is plastic and I broke the antenna trying to adjust the angle. Returned and got a replacement with no problems. Now, after installing the new car radio for which this antenna was designed, I found the reception to be very poor. I don't think it's the radio. I cannot receive stations that all other car radios can receive. I will try another antenna. Unfortunately, this is one of the main problems with withdrawal. You get what you pay for.

I really had to check and believe the negative reviews on this product because it stinks. (and that's putting it mildly). There is no reception, not even local stations. It's totally useless. Yes, it's easy to install, but who cares. Unfortunately, I installed it after the return period had expired, so I could only throw it away. For a few dollars more I bought a Hernio marine radio that works like clockwork. And yes, I use it on my machine. I guess you never get what you pay for again.

I just bought my DD Toyota Celica 7th Gen 2000-2005. The stock antenna was worn and loose and the VHF signal was pretty weak. I was looking for a replacement antenna. I bought another antenna that said it was Toyota compatible but the threaded tab was too small (fortunately it fitted my Lexus IS300 perfectly and matched the OEM antenna. You can find it here on Amazon that fits a Celica are listed but they want about $22 for it. I bought this antenna with the idea of replacing the entire antenna
