It's been at least 20 years since I made my last ethernet cable and I have to say it was very easy thanks to the new CAT8 design and this is my first cable that's all Used linkup connections (male and keystone) and cable it was easy and worked the first time. A quick note: There are three (3) videos on YouTube on how to terminate these connectors and I suggest watching them before you do. Once you've made a few of these you'll see how easy it is. The quality is top notch too, seems like it will

Works great!: Cat 7 Cable

I have a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering. Although I had never made my own network cables before, I was ready to start new CAT-8 network cables from scratch. LinkUp has good instructions with a video available on Youtube and the terminal block inside the connector is color coded making it pretty easy. I carried out a total of 4 runs (8 RJ45 connections) with 100% success on the first attempt. These LinkUp RJ45 plugs are heavy duty and as you can see in the photo they require…

Be sure to do your research

I wanted to share some of my WiFi traffic in my smart home. I bought it and connected it to 4 of my smart TVs. It's worth every penny. It not only helped my TV, but my entire ring doorbell, the cameras and the house safety system.

The best is the front ethernet copper wire

Overall this is a quality product, from the category 8 cable to the crimping machine, everything works and we're the easiest to install. Pros: Everything this company does is good. you really need cat 8 to play xbox. Absolutely not. Other Thoughts If you want to run ethernet, I recommend this. Until companies move to full fiber, as far as I know, 40Gbps, albeit fastest, over copper wire. I only use 100% but with little crosstalk I've noticed a slight improvement in gaming. And no connection…

Shit instructions: Ethernet cable

I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to use this product and I still don't get it. I need to make test cords to make sure I'm doing everything right. Better instructions needed --- and print them out large and in color. Mark Senn, BSc (Computer Systems) Interdisciplinary Engineering, Purdue University. If I had to do it all over again, I would hire someone to do it.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • boring packaging

Good solid connector

Good solid connector, should last a lifetime or at least until 25GB of speed becomes a common phenomenon for the average consumer. Installation diagrams could be better along with a written document detailing the items to consider before starting. I bought a pack of 6 connectors although I only needed 2 as I thought I might mix up 1 or 2 while trying to figure it out. I only messed up one plug because it took me a few tries to get the best wrap of ground wire. I didn't have a dedicated crimping

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, it's ok

Waste of money!: Category 7 cable

For me it worked 1 time out of 4 but the wires pulled across the cable and that was the only time it worked. It doesn't cut into the cable because the side brackets are too loose. He also broke one of the loops on the back when squeezing it. This is pop metal, don't waste your money.

  • Handsfree

Excellent terminators - cables and connections

Bought a set of these and some cheaper ones. I bought the cheaper ones for cost reasons as they are quite expensive. Laying a real CAT8 cable is quite difficult. The cable is hard, thick and its termination is problematic. These terminators are extremely easy to use. Tools needed to make this as easy as possible: - Small sharp scissors - A pair of pliers - Wire stripping tool That's all you need. Cancellation has never been so easy. With the cheaper ones I've tried, I couldn't even get the wire

Best connectors I've ever used

In the last 10 years I've probably made over 100 cables for home projects and because my cables need to be as accurate as possible for aesthetic reasons. These are the easiest end connectors I have ever used on a LONG leg. They also need pliers, but they can be closed with a firm surface for hand pressing. I've used these and the women's Keystones and the tool-free option is fantastic, especially when you're finishing a run behind the TV or through a wall. If you've ever had to crimp a…
