Meh Computers & Accessories

The screw holding the panel open was incredibly difficult to remove. The supplied screwdriver starts to strip the screw head. I had to use my own screwdriver. The circuit board sits too tight on the case and I had to carefully pry it out. Other than that, it works as intended with no additional issues.

Pros
  • Still Satisfied
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Not the best option. There are no instructions. The fuselage was very difficult to disassemble. ) The speed is ok. About 20% lower is suggested using the top-end Samsung 970 Evo. It's going to be VERY hot. As if it were too hot. If you want to use R/W I don't recommend this. WARNING. You CANNOT update Samsung firmware while using this device. When connected through this case, Samsung Magician (Windows) will not recognize it. Fail.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Not bad

Works well but gets hot!

Fast but gets very hot when used for Samsung 500GB NVMe. Works for transfer, I would worry about the heat if I use it with this SSD for a long time. Also note that the device ID will be changed so the Samsung software will not recognize it as a Samsung SSD.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • I really don't like it, everything is fine

Problematic design, stopped working after 2 weeks

A bit difficult to open the case and install the drive. I find it odd that you have to disassemble the whole thing to mount the plate. Worked well with a Samsung EVO 970 with a read/write speed of around 300 megabytes per second. It got very hot when I was using it for gaming. Luckily it didn't destroy my drive when the device itself failed. Maybe I just got a defective device.

Pros
  • In stock
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Reliable, relatively cool running and fast read/write.

This product was used to upgrade a laptop's 512GB SSD to 1TB. Assembly was easy except the screwdriver provided was not small enough to fully seat the internal screw holding the actuator in the joint. Counting. After using my own micro screwdrivers and reassembling it, no hardware errors were found when cloning disks with open source software was easy. I didn't run any explicit write or read speed tests on the interface. However, I have seen a significant speed improvement over the other mSATA…

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance
