There seem to be different reviews with some saying it fits true to size and others saying it runs small. Our experience shows that it rarely works. In fact we went from a size 11 on another brand to a size 12 and they were no bigger than a 11. My daughter had just gone up to a size 12 and this size 12 barely fit her. As long as she could wear them, there was no point as they fit her just like the 11s she'd outgrown. I was going to trade for a 13 but the same seller charges MUCH more for that…

Due to conflicting reviews I have ordered 3 different sizes. I am here to let you know that my daughter (a regular 8 year old daughter) needed a shoe that is half a size larger than her normal street shoe size. So a size 4.5 fits her normal height of 4 feet. I did NOT use the measurements in the size chart. I would also like to say that because it's half the size, we also have some room to grow. Wanted to add: I also compared a size 4 to a size 4.5 and the difference in length was slight, maybe
