Yes, they are locked up. on accessories and consumables

Block them, unlike other reviewers. I will say that they have actually been of limited use to me personally. I simply used the cut end to cut off the end connectors and connect the Category 5e segments directly between the lightbar segments. Perhaps their use is more obvious to other people. They are well made and serve their purpose. And yes, they are blocked.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Works great but wish they had supplied pins for each connector

So far so good! My only wish is that they include pins for each connector. I desoldered my colored strip so I had two equal pieces that fit perfectly under our cabinets. I then soldered the pins to each end, plugged in the adapter and routed the old Cat5e cable I had left over and it worked great! Again, I just want them to provide pins for each connector.

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Slightly torn

It is very frustrating to launch a range of shades

The product works but you are not told how difficult it will be to make it work. There are no instructions attached to the Ethernet ports at all. For some reason I had to use an extension cord adapter with EVERY extension cord I've made with it. So I hope you bought a lot of shadow overlays or you'll be tearing your hair out trying to figure out why the extra pieces aren't glowing.

good for what it is

If you're using ethernet to wire the light bar, you have no choice but these - and they could be worse. The rj45 jack is actually very large, almost sticking out from under the edge of my cabinet. and the 6 pin connector barely connects to my light strips. The contacts are so loose and short that I really struggled to make solid connections once installed. In the end it's still better than my version!

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

The best way I've found to get the most out of Hue Light Strips.

When I replaced the Hue light strips in the kitchen, I used almost every type of adapter, extension cord, and splitter that Licessory makes to get the job done with as few strips left as possible. All did what they were advertised to do and ended up saving me not only from buying additional strips but from using multiple power supplies to run them. These are nifty things as they need to be connected with tiny pins on the strips so be careful when installing them.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled

Very useful adapter!

These are very useful adapters that use a LAN cable as an extension cable. I have two minor complaints about them, as well as other cables. First, they don't have keys, you won't know if they're connected properly until you connect the LightStrip extension. But if it's wrong, flip the plug and it should work. My second complaint is that they don't block. A little jerk and they would be gone. My solution was to simply wrap tape around the connectors. Problem solved.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's OK

Okay, but only 2 pin female to male adapters?

Ideal for running long extension cords between strips. However, they only include pins (female to male adapters) for 2 of the 6 pin sides, which is very odd. My setup: V4 strip > cut off > cut end to 6 pin adapter (solder) > 6 pin to RJ45 adapter > CAT5 > RJ45 to 6 pin adapter > 6 pin adapter to cut end (solder) > cut end of second strip. have pin adapters for two (one movement). I have no idea why they only supply 2 of these, especially since cut end to 6 pin adapters areโ€ฆ
